Everyday: Current Music Favorites

everyday

current music favorites

HELLO MUSIC LOVERS!
Today I'm going to start a new little segment where I tell you all about the music that I have playing on repeat, new and old.
Along with giving you the name, artist, and my reasons for loving the song, I will also link you directly to a website where you can find that specific song and have a listen for yourself!
These won't be in any specific order, just a list the songs I'm enjoying at the moment.
Hopefully you will find a new favorite throughout the course of this post!
Let's get going!!!

1. Vitamis x Max Miller
-I simply can't help but vibe when I hear this song. It's an all time fav. of mine.

2. Hotline Bling Remix x Erykah Badu
-Oh Erykah. She is a go to. Anything she does is magical! I instantly fell in love with her take on this song when Caleb introduced me.

3. Chill Nigga, Rap x Trademark da Skydiver
-Once again this is a song that just allows me to vibe while doing homework or just hanging out. I love the smooth tones in the music.

4. Stuck x OSHUN
-Stimulating. That is what I have to say about OSHUN. Just yes. Go enlighten yourself, my friends. Anything by OSHUN is a game changer. I found this song in particular rather catchy and easy to listen to.

5. Here x Alessia Caro
-The first time I heard this song was on the radio. I NEVER listen to the radio purely because most of the music is overplayed junk, but this song caught my attention and I'm in love.

6. Trill Friends x Erykah Badu
-Honestly her remixes are probably the only remixes that I enjoy listening too, and this one did not disappoint.

7. No More Parties in LA x Kanye
-This is probably the only time you will see Kanye's name on my blog. I dislike that man, but I found myself feeling this song quite heavily.

8. Flesh & Bone x Brendan Benson
-I've recently got back on the kick of watching "Skins" - once again, thanks to caleb - and the songs they use within the episodes are usually marvelous. This song is no exception.
9. My Conversation x Slim Smith & The Uniques
-Another pick from "Skins". No doubt a song that makes you want to move.

10. Sour Pack x SVPA DAVE
-Thank you, Caleb. I couldn't help but fall in love with the beat of this song when he played it for the first time.

I would like to share a special Thank You to the lovely Caleb because I would be no where in my music choices if I didn't have him to enlighten me. (:
I thoroughly enjoyed making this post and I hope you all found some new tunes to add to your playlist!
Until next time enjoy the music,
Paige

Fashion: Seasons Styles

Seasons Styles

fallen 4 (faux) fur

The cold is here to stay, people!
Recently there has been talk of snow and although I'm in the southern part of the United States I will keep my hopes high that I might just need the fur pieces I have been lusting over this season!
Throughout the fall and winter months I've absolutely fallen for fur and the little pop of texture it can give to an outfit. With that being said today I want to share a few of my favorite fur pieces I have come across throughout my journey of falling for fur!
p.s. all fur in this post will be faux!

I sincerely hope that you have a new found love for fur and strive to incorporate it into your style in even the simplest ways like the purse pom I have linked above. Texture is an immediate way to add interest to an outfit and faux fur has quickly become my texture of choice. (:
Thanks for stopping by!

Beauty: Neutral Smokey Eye

Neutral Smokey Eye

 Hi, makeup lovers!
Today, as I promised long ago, I will be showing you all how to achieve my go to neutral smokey eye look!
I'm going to give you all step by step instructions so it should ultimately be fool proof to recreate.
As a disclaimer, I am by no means a make-up artist, but since this look was requested I wanted to deliver. Make-up is such a great way to express yourself so take my steps as you will and add in whatever you feel necessary to make the look more you!
Let's get on into it!

Step 1

Apply a small amount of primer all over the eye lids. This will give you a blank slate to apply eyeshadow and provide the shadows with a greater staying power.

Step 2

With a flat shader brush apply a cream color on top of the eyeshadow primer.

Step 3

With a round fluffy brush apply a matte brown shadow to the crease of your eye. This will act as the transition shade for the rest of the look.

Step 4

With the same flat shader brush as used previously, pack on a shimmery brown all over the entire lid

Step 5

Take a deep purple-brown color with an eyeliner brush and a small amount to the outer corner of your eye up into the outer corner of your crease.

Step 6

Curl your lashes and apply your favorite mascara.

Step 7

Use a concealer to clean up any mistakes or fallout from the shimmery shadows.

The final look

Check back soon,
Paige (:

Beauty: Haul #2

beauty

Haul #2

Hey beauties, I'm back today with another beauty haul for you!
I started to realize recently that my foundation was oxidizing on my face throughout the day and really wasn't the best match to my skin tone in the first place, so new foundation, powder, and an applicator was a must. I had also been realizing that the e.l.f mascara I had been using on a day to day basis was not actually staying on my eyelashes throughout the day, so a new mascara was definitely a necessity! I managed to pick up a few more things on my trip to the drugstore, so I thought I would share them with you!
We'll go about this post in the order I would put these products on my face, so keep reading if you want to know about the new beauty products I purchased!

FACE:

The first stop on my beauty supply shopping trip was to get a new foundation. Like I mentioned earlier, my previous foundation hadn't been cutting it for me lately, so I started looking into drugstore foundations. The one foundation that kept coming up was the L'oreal Infallible pro matte and let me tell you it is heaven sent! I have never in my life had a foundation that matched my skin so well, and the finish is fabulous! All you pale girls go ahead and check it out if you're having a hard time color matching your skin tone with other foundations!

The next item that was on my shopping list was a "beauty blender" of course this is the real techniques version (which is much cheaper). I was in the market for a new makeup sponge because i love the airbrushed finish it can give your skin rather than the finish a normal makeup brush would provide. The shape of this sponge is perfect. There is a flat sloped edge that is perfect for blending foundation over the whole face, and a pointed tip that is great for blending around the eye area or even for covering up spots!

This eye lips and face High Definition Powder was kind of a spur of the moment purchase, but while perusing the makeup section I remembered that I hit pan on my favorite setting powder and thought I would try out a new one. This sheer powder claims to erase fine lines for a more airbrushed finish. I've only used the product twice and haven't noticed any miracle outcomes, but the product does the trick as a setting powder so I have no complaints.

EYES:

Like I mentioned at the beginning of this post my previous mascara was lacking in doing any sort of job for me so I decided to go for a new one. This product is WONDERFUL! Even without curling my lashed before putting this mascara on it works so well! The shape and hold it gives to my lashes is out of this world. The size of the wand is perfect for adding volume to your lashes and the curved shape of the wand allows you to get every lash and makes for a brilliant lift! This is a mascara I will definitely be repurchasing and one I highly recommend!

LIPS:

When I go shopping for beauty products I always have to have a stroll around the lipsticks because I adore lip products. I'm always looking for long-lasting lip products in a variety of colors and finishes and the Posh lipstick by e.l.f caught my eye on this particular trip. I tend to usually go for a vampy color and the berry tone of this lipstick drew me in straight away. This is an easy to wear berry color with rather a long-lasting power, but make sure you carry around a chapstick with you or apply a coat after the lipstick because it did dry my lips out just a smidgen. Overall though, I loved this lip product!

Thanks for sticking around to see what I purchased, loves.

Fashion: Most Worn Shoes

fashion

most worn shoes

HELLO LOVELY PEOPLE!
I'm happy to announce that I am back and hopefully for good! Sorry that I was M.I.A from my blog for so long. My computer ran out of storage along with my phone so I didn't have a way to upload photos, but that is old news! I'm here and ready to kick this year off with my most worn shoes! I'm a huge fan of shoes, not only because I would rather not step in gross stuff without them on, but because putting on the right pair can pull together a whole outfit!
Let's go ahead and hop right into the first pair.

WHITE LACE UPS

These babies have been worn a few too many times, but that won't stop me from wearing them a few too many more. I love these shoes because they are a simple white flat and they can pull together almost any outfit! White lace ups should be a basic in any wardrobe. Of course they look much better when hey don't have gaping holes in the front for your toes to peek out of!

CONVERSE

Sticking with the white theme the next pair of my most worn shoes I have to show you are my converse. Converse is such a classic brand and they are also really comfortable to walk in. I was lucky enough to have mine given to me by Caleb as a christmas present, but even if you have to buy them yourself they are well worth the money you will spend. No matter the color converse are a perfect shoes to chuck on with just about any outfit to stay stylish and comfy throughout your day!

NIKE'S

Another classic shoe is the Nike, and my black pair is definitely one of my most worn set of shoes. I love this style  of Nike because they are simple, stylish, and once again comfortable. As a college student comfort is key with footwear and these puppies are perfect. You can easily throw these on with jeans and a t-shirt, or you can add them to a more polished outfit and they will look just as amazing because of the color and splash of pattern on the back. Although I've only had these for a short period of time they have quickly become a staple in my growing shoe collection.

BLACK BOOTS

If you don't have a pair go out and buy some now because you are bound to need them more than once in your life. I bought these black boots at a vintage thrift store in downtown Greenville years ago and I have since worn them to a state of almost death. Once again these are a basic shoe, so it's quite easy to make an outfit out of them. Over the years I have altered mine to have a cut out near the ankle so I can show off all of my quirky socks, but cut out or not a black boot is a must!

If you've gotten this far thanks for coming along for the ride! Let me know in the comments what your most worn pair of shoes is and why you love them so much!
I'm always in the market for a new pair (;
So long for now,
Paige
